It's all about supply …

There’s been a hive of activity at Hyra Towers over the winter months. While some hire companies may be enjoying the winter downturn with less activity out on construction sites, our team have been beavering away.

We have taken the opportunity to consolidate our supply chain partnerships with a plethora of constructive meetings and conversations with key supply partners. We’ve been working together to identify existing and potential challenges and to find viable solutions upfront, enabling us to deliver a top-flight service to our customers wherever they are in the UK. We’ve also been reviewing our delivery stats together, seeing where we can do better and identifying where any problems lie.

The winter has also given us the chance to make new supplier friends. We have, very maturely I might add, recognised the gaps in our supply chain armour and worked to fill and fix them. We have sought out new partnerships with suppliers who are able to provide us with equipment in high demand where supply can be limited; we have befriended new partners with access to obscure and rare kit; we have scoured the deepest, darkest corners of the UK to discover new partnership gems where we previously found it hard to source plant. Though not as dramatic as it sounds, we truly have given our supply chain partnerships an invigorating shake-up AND welcomed new partners to the fold.

So, what does this really mean for our customers? It’s seriously simple! We are more equipped than ever to deliver a one-stop-hire-shop experience. With the help of technology, our quoting speed has increased to make us industry-leading in our response rates. Technology is also enabling us to quickly map the location of assets our clients need in suppliers’ depots in relation to their delivery sites. This technology is a key differentiator, enabling us to select the highest-performing specialist provider (at a workable distance) to meet our customers’ needs.
